ABOUT THE RELIEF FUND
The Northern Japan Earthquake Relief Fund was established to help the victims of the Great Tohoku Earthquake and Tsunami which took place on March 11, 2011. Their relief campaign is a community based and volunteer driven effort. 100% of the donations received are going directly to citizen relief efforts that are actively on the ground providing support to the victims through the National YMCAs of Japan and other Non-Governmental Organizations that the JCCCNC has very long relationships with since the 1995 Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake centered in Kobe. The funds will focus on supporting the victims and those who need it most but are often forgotten, the elderly, children, the physically and mentally challenged and the migrant communities. At this time, the JCCCNC is only accepting monetary donations. All donations are tax deductible to the extent of the law and will be acknowledged.
THE RELIEF FUND PLAN
- RELIEF: Meeting immediate life saving and survival needs
- RECOVERY: Creating sustainability, temporary shelters and housing needs, Post-Traumatic Stress counseling, supplies for children, families and seniors
- REBUILDING: Supporting community/neighborhood capital improvement projects and programs
